I’m so excited to finally share one of the most ambitious projects I’ve ever had the chance to work on: Elements: A Journey Through Life.
I’m incredibly grateful to Visuell Studios team Aaron McCoy, Amy Kronquist-McCoy and @robinsonian for his vision and leadership, and to the amazing team at instronic studio for their trust and collaboration.
For the past months, I’ve been responsible for building and integrating the different worlds inside Epic Games Unreal Engine 5, working closely with the instronic studio artists, crafting environments that would capture the essence of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, and blending them into a cohesive 25-minute immersive experience.
This project pushed me to combine multiple techniques and tools to achieve both scale and detail:
🔹 Procedural Content Generation (PCG) – to bring landscapes alive with vegetation, rocks, and structures in a dynamic yet controlled way. (using a lot of Quixel assets).
🔹 World Creator – to sculpt terrains with realism and flexibility, which became the foundation for many of the environments.
🔹 VFX & Animation – from subtle atmospheric particles to cinematic FX that enhanced the storytelling.
🔹 Using different plugins like Ultra Dynamic Sky & Easy Atmos – crucial for controlling time of day, lighting transitions, and atmospheric moods.
🔹 Integration & polish – making sure all assets, FX, lighting, and animations seamlessly merged into a final world that feels alive and emotionally resonant.
Bringing these worlds together has been a true challenge, but also one of the most rewarding journeys of my career.
